IT Technician Focused on Data Center Infrastructure

We are now looking for an IT technician focused on data center infrastructure to strengthen us at the Center for Information Technology and Medical Technology (CIMT). RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now strengthening our infra-operations team that works with data center and application operations to support Region Västerbotten's digital transformation, where you will play a key role in building and managing a robust and secure IT environment together with us.

In addition to working within the common technology object, you will operate within application operations (operation, management, and further development of existing systems) where the team, together with the management organization, renews and adapts older solutions to new modern platforms.

The work involves working with the following technologies and areas:

• Hardware in our data centers, virtualization platforms, container infrastructure, backup, storage, databases, and application operations

The tasks include, for example, maintaining, upgrading, monitoring, and troubleshooting the technical infrastructure as well as deploying hardware and software. In your role, you will be part of our operations team and will also provide support for projects, assignments, and other change initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology and who possesses a commitment and willingness to work on improving infrastructure, security, and digitalization in operations using technology.

The role requires good collaboration skills with other technicians, architects, project managers, and managers at various levels. As a person, you are solution-oriented, curious, and have a service-oriented attitude. You communicate clearly and build trust with people in adjacent support operations, core operations, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

In addition to these personal qualities, we want you to have documented, practical, and relevant experience (from the last 2 years) in the following areas:

• Windows server and client environments, Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft 365, Linux (RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu), MSSQL and/or open-source alternatives such as PostgreSQL, primary storage and storage networks (SAN & NAS), VMware vSphere, Veeam backup and recovery, general competence in IP, routing, DNS, and DHCP, container infrastructure (Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes)

You have professional experience in the operation and management of the above-mentioned platforms in complex IT environments.

Experience with mission-critical production systems as well as the ITIL framework and open-source is an advantage.

You have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

You are accustomed to documenting according to established routines.

On-call work may occur in the position.
